Article Writing Rates

From $0.15 USD / word

The rate scales with research depth and technical difficulty. You’ll have an exact figure before I start, and it won’t move afterward.

Editing and Proofreading

For content you already have. I do line editing, structural feedback, and technical fact-checking, in whatever mix your draft needs. Expect tracked changes, honest margin notes, and copy that ends up sounding like you on your best day. I flag what’s factually wrong, not just what’s misspelled.

You approve the estimated hours before I begin. If a piece needs less time than quoted, you pay for less time.

Process

How My Writing Process Works

The same five steps every time. You always know where your piece is and when it lands.

Step 1

The Brief

You send the topic, the audience, and any style guide. An email or invitation to a Google Drive folder is all it takes to get started.

Step 2

The Research

I test, reproduce, and read until I genuinely understand the subject.

Step 3

The Draft

A clean, CMS-ready draft lands in your inbox, usually within a week of the brief being locked.

Step 4

The Polish

Up to five revision rounds are included. Most clients use one, and plenty use none.

Step 5

The Upload (Optional)

If you want it, I’ll load the finished piece straight into your CMS: WordPress, Shopify, Ghost, or whatever you publish with. Formatted, linked, and ready for your final look-over.
